Artist Statement:

Art is a fascinating way of communicating and connecting with the world and others. The goal of my art is to create from a place of possibility, tension, imperfection and always risk. Joy finds me when I combine the materials to the best of my skill, intuitively create a balance and watch for an edge which appears in a split second that tells me the piece is complete.

While working I am thinking of the person who might connect with my work and “know” that I “get” them. Wearable art pieces are designed not to be a stand-alone piece of art but instead to reveal the beauty of the wearer.” ^ Sue Wachter Sue is a popular watercolor, acrylic and wearable art instructor. She has a unique ability when teaching to observe and grow each student’s individual artistic potential. Her favorite students to work with are those of any age who consider themselves beginners.
