Artist Statement
Hello, I’m just an island boy who still prefers wearing slippahs and shorts as much as possible just like being creative has always been part of who I am.
Over the years I’ve been an artist of many disciplines ranging from pen and ink to watercolor; from sculptor to musician/songwriter; and from potter to designer with several mediums in between that now guide, meld, and shape each shutter click into the pieces that reflect my mind’s eye. Although I love wildlife and landscapes, the nuances of everyday encounters often intrigue my attention just as much. And being that I still look under rocks and logs for worlds unseen, there’s no telling what will catch my eye.
Too much of our day to day can be lost to busyness and distractions. So, capturing a bit of stillness that might quiet the moment, or bridge a viewer to an elsewhere perspective, is what I strive for. And having the opportunity to share these “views from around”, as I call them, is a true blessing.
Thanks for your time and enjoy the day!
